Mulder Law is your best defensive weapon against Marriage Fraud.

According to USCIS adjudicators the area where they see the most fraud is in immigration through marriage. It has become well known by foreigners looking for a ticket to America and to be supported by someone else when they arrive in America, marriage is the way to go. A co-sponsor is even better because the immigrant has two people obligated to support him or her.

The first line of defens4 is to be on the offense. Know what you are getting yourself into before you sign the I-864 Affidavit of Support. Some but not all red flags are:

  1. Income disparity between the parties.

  2. Age differences between the parties.

  3. How well do you know the foreign individual? Is there a language barrier between you and the foreign individual that keeps you from knowing them well?

  4. How eager is the foreigner? Is he or she trying to rush the relationship?

  5. Is the foreigner willing to invest in the relationship?

  6. If the foreigner does not know English make sure s/he begins studying immediately.

  7. Is the foreigner eaget to work in the US?

  8. Is the foreigner planning to file for US citizenship as soon as s/he is eligible?

When you do everything in your power to make the relationship work and you find that you have been used call Mulder Law at (904)296-7702 or send an email to KMulder@MulderLaw.com
